Also, a car pun.
Edit: in addition to feedback about my driving, I am thinking about cutting down on the amount of captions and descriptors I include in the next video, since most clips into pretty self-explanatory. I feel like this will make the video flow better. Let me know what you think!

@29ish seconds makes me laugh call out of someone else crossing lines; crosses lines.
Digging the music selection though.

@ 0:30- I might have done the same thing as that truck, to be honest, but I probably would have given you about 0.5 more seconds to react before actually taking it. He must have been in a hurry, I guess.
Just a couple of weeks ago, there was a large break in oncoming traffic thanks to a driver who waited too long. I waved at him and LOL’d as I made my left turn. :) I don’t think the cars behind him appreciated that.
@ 4:56- Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh I can’t even.

I might’ve crossed the lines, but I might not have. The problem with the wide-angle lens is that it makes things on the side of the camera look close.

People that run the left turn only light happens all the time out here. I’ve come to expect this so I hesitate an extra 2-4 seconds before going when my light turns green.

All good. I’ve actually thought about doing a video just of my screw ups. Obviously it would have to be stuff a little more interesting than that.

To be honest, I actually do the opposite. I jump at the first sight of green because I want them to think twice next time around. Of course, I won’t allow myself to hit the other car; I will ABSOLUTELY slam on my brakes to keep that from happening. I just want them to have a narrow escape that will make them nervous about trying to do the same thing again.

Yeah, I see his reasoning behind going, he thought I wasn’t paying attention. Not like this guy:

THAT guy’s a dick.
There’s a little voice in my head (the kind that kinda has a point but we’re probably better off ignoring) that wishes you had kept going and hit him. The other driver would have been at fault, but I don’t know that you’d want to share your dashcam footage to the cops. In such a situation, it would actually be better for you if the truck had footage of the event...

True. Although in this case it was my mom driving and it was a rental car. But yeah, that form of let is called the Boston Left or Pittsburgh Left, and it’s a thing up there.

Don’t care about the F150 turning in front of you when you hesitated. It’s probably not a move I would make myself, but it’s efficient. Gap>Go>One more vehicle closer to it’s destination and everyone behind can move on. I know in this case there was nobody behind, but in general that’s the way I’d look at it.
People who can’t get out of the way when turning between 2 boulevards really piss me off. No, your Civic ISN’T that big. YES there’s room for it. YES there are people behind you that would like to get out and throttle you. NO inching into oncoming traffic and pissing THEM off isn’t a solution.
I don’t understand why that stopped truck wasn’t passed earlier, tbh. What are the local rules/regs/influences that played into that?
The white Suburban... well... though he was later revealed to be a moron (no signal), unless he sat behind and then rugged it past when you signaled, I say that was a 50/50 thing. You can’t just sit in a clear lane for fear that someone might eventually want over, but if someone does want over and are being a competent human about it, you’re being a dick not to let them in. Sum up—if he only passed when you signaled, dick. If he made his turn and made a beeline past you, while not the brightest of moves I hold it to be OK.
Of course the worst part of videos like this is finding a situation where you could put yourself. I can’t say my hands are clean from all of these, but I do my best... I’d rather take the long way than crash

1. Yeah, I was annoyed, but I get why he did it.
2. Yup
3. I have no idea what the rules are, but on a street like that with fast oncoming traffic (40mph) coming over a hill, I would’ve probably just waited a sec for the drivers to return.
4. I’m actually not sure if he was already flying or if he gunned it when I signaled. Either was, he pulled out behind me from that driveway and drove like that just to pass 2 cars on a curve before cutting in front of them and stopping. He saved half a second, as you can see by the time I pass him again. But yes, I definitely take some blame for almost moving over on him. Speeding doesn’t excuse my doing that.
5. There is not a single way in/out of my office that doesn’t involve some kind of craziness. 1/3 of these clips are from near my office.

1.
2.
3. OK, didn’t notice it was actually a hill. If I could see the drivers, I might wait, but really I’d have to be there.
4. Can’t say I’m in the clear there either. My truck has quite good visibility, to the point where I can forget it has blind spots at all. So when you get the one guy that’s lined up perfect...

Hahaha, Dart, so good. But seriously what is up with the bumpy ass roads were you live? There are parts of this clip were its like driving in a stance car with cut springs.

Part of that is Omaha’s horrendous roads. Part of that was, as I just discovered, that the front suspension on my car was completely shot.

Actually, there’s some other problems with it, so I’m just replacing it.
